Mike Spence has been in the transportation industry for more than 30 years. At Fleet Advantage, Mike has a wide range of responsibilities including equipment lifecycle management, working with OEMs, guiding equipment specs and purchasing for new equipment, monitoring the equipment delivery process, interfacing with customers and the Fleet Advantage Business Development team, and expanding our multiple databases on original equipment cost, maintenance and repair, fuel economy and driver training curriculums. Mike also manages our team of "Boots on the Ground" service personnel that visits client facilities, inspecting equipment and meeting with shop services personnel whether "in house" or contracted "3rd party maintainers".
Previously, Mike held executive leadership roles with Ryder Systems, Inc., working in sales, operations and maintenance. Mike managed growth and customer retention initiatives in the central U.S., overseeing a client portfolio of approximately $1 billion. His most recent position prior to Fleet Advantage was with Worldwide Equipment Leasing as Vice President / General Manager.
Mike attended Vincennes University and graduated from Lincoln College of Technology with honors.Back to Staff
